專案成果
National Central University and Nicolaus Copernicus University shared the same abbreviation of NCU. After 2 years of mutual visits and coordination, National Central University proposed the first pilot project in Taiwan, aimed for earth science exploration in Arctic area. To deepen the academic cooperation and technical exchange with other European countries, NCU invited the Director of European Economic and Trade Office (ETO), Mr. Filip Grzegorzewski, to visit NCU and to discuss the direction of cooperation and common issues of interest.
Director Grzegorzewski pointed out that the College of Earth Sciences, National Central University is a very unique college among universities in Taiwan; it has outstanding research performance in the fields of seismology, geology, space science, atmosphere and hydrology. The research collaboration with the Arctic Survey Station of Nicolaus Copernicus University, Poland is very meaningful. In addition to existing research cooperation, academic and teaching cooperation with other European countries can be expanded. There are many relevant research cooperation programs in the EU, which could be used as platforms to deepen research cooperation and interaction for both countries.
