專案摘要/目標

During Mar/11-Apr/22, National Central University's USR Project "Ecology, Living, and Economy of Taoyuan Coast – Facilitating the Sustainable Development of Taoyuan's Coastal Environment and Culture" hold "2024 Taoyuan Coastal Bilingual Ecological Tour Camp" for high school students, promoting marine conservation and environmental education. The camp centered on "stone weirs" and featured 6 weekend workshops, where university students guided high schoolers in skills like video editing and content creation. The project resulted in 6 tour pamphlets and videos highlighting stone weirs' history, culture, and ecology. International students also participated, conducting foreign language tours, enhancing cultural awareness and interdisciplinary skills for future global talent.

專案成果

The camp is built around 3 core themes: "Marine Education," "Local Practice," and "Interdisciplinary Collaboration." Focusing on the stone weirs, a traditional feature of Taoyuan’s coastline, the camp included 6 weekend workshops. University students acted as mentors, guiding high school participants in learning about stone weirs, generating project ideas, and developing practical skills like video editing and pamphlet creation. Together, they produced 6 tour pamphlets and videos covering the stone weirs' techniques, culture, preservation, ecology, fisheries, and tourism. These results will be shared with local communities.
