7th NCU Yunus Prize had combined the spirit of CSR, USR and SDGs, which was hosted by Yunus Social Business Centre, NCU, was hold on Dec/10, 2022, in Teaching & Researching Building, unveiling by Jen-Inn Chyi, Vice President and Ping-Yu Hsu, Dean of College of Management. Among almost 100 teams, 28 teams took turns to give presentations.
Social Business Section selected top 3 and 2 merit awards, and the 1st Place went to “Taiping Blue”, who revitalize the art of blue dyeing by promoting the heritage of Hakka culture, while pumping up the employment of disadvantaged women and elders in local community, and brought the brand to the international fashion stage.
Social Impact Section also selected top 3 and 2 merit awards according to each team’s self-evaluation on their own social impact, and the 1st Place went to “See what you need-volunteers for learning support”. They aimed to add more access to learning support for disadvantaged students in urban areas, and promote equal access to arts and culture, while strengthen the value of social care regardless of urban or rural areas.
This year, Tim West, the founder of Pioneers Post, a leading social enterprise media in the UK, was invited to give a speech via video, on the latest trend of social enterprise development in the UK. On the same day, NCU's long-prepared "Asian Impact Management Review” were also launched.
